oTOSis, formally known as tosemu, is a TOS/MiNT emulator which makes it possible to run pure TOS/MiNT programs in Linux/m68k. oTOSis uses oCPUis, to emulate the m68k CPU, if you run oTOSis on a different platform than m68k.
oTOSis was mostly written by Elias Mårtensson and Roman Hodek and have since been developed as a part of the OSIS project. It still works as a stand-alone program.
The package is divided into two parts, one application emulating part and a library containing Linux implementation of TOS/MiNT trap calls. The library is CPU independent and is also used by oAESis. It is made in a way so that it is possible to compile native TOS/MiNT programs for any Linux system, not just m68k, as long as you have sources.
Current version in the CVS is able to emulate the m68k CPU, using
the oCPUis package. The oCPUis emulation is taken from UAE, the Amiga
Emulator, and is modified slightly to work together with oTOSis.
It is able possible to use oVDIsis
and oAESis, to run GEM programs as well.
The oCPUis, oVDIsis and oAESis support for oTOSis is under development
right now, so it is not yet stable enough for a release, but if you're
interested, we welcome you to try. You can read more about the whole OSIS
system on the main page.
oTOSis, as all of the OSIS project, is released under the terms of GNU General Public License (GPL). Read the file COPYING in the package for more information.
